ST. LOUIS – Indiana State fifth-year guard
Jayci Allen, junior guard
Eanae Dagons and junior forward
Amerie Flowers were named to the 2026 MVC Players to Watch list, as announced Wednesday by the conference office.
Allen appeared in all 32 games for Indiana State last season, starting one and averaging nearly 25 minutes per game primarily coming off the bench. Despite not starting, she ranked third on the team in scoring and rebounding at 9.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game and was the Sycamores' top 3-point shooter, knocking down 50 treys at a 31.6 percent clip. Allen ranked in the top 10 in the MVC in 3-pointers per game with 1.6 and 3-point percentage at 31.6. She scored in double-figures 16 times during the 2025-26 campaign, including a 21-point performance in a win over Eastern Illinois, while knocking down three or more 3-pointers in seven games. Allen also pulled down five or more rebounds in 10 games, including a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double at Drake.
Dagons joined the Sycamores in the summer after spending the last two seasons at Eastern Arizona College, where she was the starting point guard for the 2025-26 NJCAA National Champions. An all-region selection in each of her two seasons at Eastern Arizona, she was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team for her role in Eastern Arizona's championship run and was also a 2024-25 Honorable Mention All-American. Despite her size, Dagons pulled down a team-leading 5.0 rebounds per game last season and was also second on the team in both scoring and assists at 10.2 points and 3.0 assists per game. Dagons shot better than 43 percent from the field in each of her two seasons at Eastern Arizona, and she was active on the defensive side with multiple steals in 37 games.
Flowers appeared in 31 of Indiana State's 32 games last season, starting 26 and averaging 15.4 minutes per game. Despite the low minutes total, she made the most of her time on the court with averages of 7.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game, ranking second on the team in rebounds and sixth in points. Flowers ranked in the top 15 in the MVC in rebounding and was one of only two players among that top 15 to average under 20 minutes per game. She registered three double-doubles, all of which came in Indiana State wins, while setting a program record for rebounds in a season opener with 15 at IU Indy. Flowers scored in double-figures 12 times, including a career-best 27-point outburst against Murray State, while pulling down five or more rebounds in 17 contests.
Indiana State will open its 2026-27 season November 2 at Northern Illinois, with the Sycamores' home opener set for November 10 against IU Indy.
