TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State University's fall semester started Tuesday, with Sycamore women's basketball inching closer to returning to the court for preseason workouts. 13 new faces joining
Marc Mitchell's squad for the upcoming 2026-27 season, which will begin November 2 at Northern Illinois.
The 13-athlete class, which was announced on the Sycamores social media channels throughout the signing period, consists of one freshman, seven junior college transfers and five four-year college transfers. 10 different states – Alabama, Arizona, California, Illinois, Kansas, Missouri, Nevada, New York, Texas and Wisconsin – are represented in the signing class, which includes seven guards and three forwards.

SAROIYA AJOMALE
Forward // 6-0 // Las Vegas, Nev. / Centennial / College of Southern Nevada
Ajomale was a two-time First Team All-ACCAA selection at the College of Southern Nevada, earning Player of the Year honors in 2024-25. She was a WBCA and NJCAA All-American in the 2024-25 campaign and comes to Terre Haute after averaging 20.3 points, 6.3 rebounds, 2.0 assists, 2.0 steals and 1.2 blocks per game over her two seasons at CSN. Ajomale led the conference in scoring in 2025-26 with a program single-season record 20.7 points per game, ranking sixth in the NJCAA in scoring, while ranking in the top three on the team in points, rebounds, assists, steals and blocks. She also led the league in scoring during her 2024-25 All-America campaign with 19.8 points per contest, while adding team-high marks in steals and blocks. Her 615 points in the 2024-25 season are the most in a single season in College of Southern Nevada history. Ajomale tallied six double-doubles in her CSN career while scoring 20-plus points on 30 occasions with nine 30-point games. For her career, she scored in double-figures 55 times, pulled down five or more rebounds in 43 games, dished out three or more assists in 21 games, tallied multiple steals in 31 games and had multiple blocks in 20 games.
EANAE DAGONS
Guard // 5-4 // Phoenix, Ariz. / Desert Vista / Eastern Arizona College
Dagons was a 2024-25 Honorable Mention NJCAA All-American at Eastern Arizona College, and was the starting point guard on Eastern Arizona's 2026 NJCAA National Championship-winning team. An all-region selection in each of her two seasons at Eastern Arizona, she was named to the NJCAA All-Tournament Team for her role in Eastern Arizona's championship run. Despite her size, Dagons pulled down a team-leading 5.0 rebounds per game last season and was also second on the team in both scoring and assists at 10.2 points and 3.0 assists per game. Dagons shot better than 43 percent from the field in each of her two seasons at Eastern Arizona, and she was active on the defensive side with multiple steals in 37 games. As a freshman, she added 8.9 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game, all marks which ranked second on the team. Dagons scored in double-figures 36 times, pulled down five or more rebounds in 40 games, dished out three or more assists in 42 games and tallied multiple steals in 37 games while at Eastern Arizona. She ranked in the top 10 in the ACCAC in assists and steals in each of the last two seasons. Dagons also showed an ability to shoot from distance, with multiple treys in 14 games.
ZOË DISPENNETTE
Guard // 5-11 // Milwaukee, Wis. / St. Thomas More
Dispennette is the first freshman signee of the
Marc Mitchell era and will be the first freshman to suit up for the Sycamores since the 2023-24 season. An Honorable Mention Wisconsin Division 3 All-State selection in 2025-26, Dispennette scored more than 1,200 points in her career and knocked down more than 170 threes while shooting nearly 32 percent from distance. Dispennette also averaged more than four rebounds per game to go along with 1.8 assists and 1.7 steals per game. She averaged double-digit scoring each of the last three seasons, including 14.2 points per game in 2025-26 on her way to first team all-conference honors.
KARSEN MARSHALL
Guard // 5-10 // Ontario, Calif. / Ontario Christian / Mt. San Jacinto College
Marshall was the 2025-26 Inland Empire Athletic Conference Player of the Year after leading all California junior college athletes in scoring at 22.8 points per game. She also added 7.0 rebounds, 2.6 assists, 3.0 steals and 1.0 blocks per game. Marshall led the state in field goals with 252 and was sixth among California junior college players with 87 treys last season, converting from behind the arc at a 33.6 percent clip. Marshall scored in double-figures 27 times last season, including 18 games with 20-plus points and five with 30-plus points. She pulled down five or more rebounds in 21 games, dished out three or more assists in 15 games, recorded multiple steals in 23 games and tallied multiple blocks in seven games. Marshall started her career at Cal State Northridge, appearing in 20 games for the Matadors during the 2024-25 season with a pair of starts. She averaged 4.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game at CSUN, scoring in double-figures twice and pulling down five or more rebounds twice. Marshall also ranked second on the team in 3-point percentage at Cal State Northridge, connecting on 32.8 percent of her attempts from distance.
ALLISON McGILL
Guard // 6-1 // Ontario, Calif. / San Dimas / La Verne
McGill transferred to Indiana State from Arizona Christian midway through the 2025-26 season after spending the first two seasons of her career at La Verne. She appeared in 30 games for La Verne across the 2023-24 and 2024-25 seasons, averaging 2.7 points and 1.4 rebounds per game for her career. McGill averaged 4.1 points per game in 2024-25, with a pair of double-digit scoring games that season. She also pulled down five or more rebounds in three games, tallied two games with multiple assists and had a pair of games with multiple steals.
KRISTEN McMILLAN
Forward // 6-1 // Hoover, Ala. / Hoover / UNC Asheville
McMillan spent the 2025-26 season at UNC Asheville, where she averaged just over five points per game across 27 contests for the Bulldogs. She scored in double-figures six times and pulled down five or more rebounds in five games. McMillan also proved to be a more than capable 3-point shooter, knocking down 52.4 percent of her attempts from distance. She started her collegiate career at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, where she averaged 5.7 points and 4.3 rebounds across two seasons. McMillan scored in double-figures 10 times in 44 games at the junior college level, while also pulling down five or more rebounds on 20 occasions. She also showcased strong passing abilities, dishing out multiple assists in eight games.
ARIANA PEAGLER
Guard // 5-6 // Hoover, Ala. / Hoover / Mississippi Gulf Coast CC
Peagler appeared in 25 games last season at Mississippi Gulf Coast CC, averaging 6.4 points, 3.3 rebounds and 1.4 assists per game while making 16 starts. She scored in double-figures seven times, pulled down five or more rebounds in eight games and dished out three or more assists in five games. Peagler also got things done on the defensive end, recording multiple steals in four games with a pair of four-steal efforts. She has familiarity with the Missouri Valley Conference after starting her career at Southern Illinois, where she appeared in 22 games off the bench for the Salukis during the 2024-25 season. Peagler tallied 12 points, seven assists and two rebounds in limited action at SIU.
CRYSTAL SCHULTZ
Guard // 5-8 // Houston Texas / Fort Bend Austin / Prairie View A&M
Schultz was a Second Team All-SWAC and BOXTOROW Second Team HBCU All-American in the 2025-26 season after leading Prairie View A&M in scoring at 14.3 points per game, a mark which ranked fourth in the conference. She was also the 2024-25 SWAC Freshman of the Year after leading all conference freshmen in scoring during her debut season at PVAMU, while leading the team in scoring in the process. Schultz ranked fourth in the league in 3-pointers per game and seventh in 3-point percentage in 2025-26, while ranking third in free throw percentage. She also led all SWAC freshmen with 51 treys in 2024-25, ranking fourth in the conference in threes and seventh in 3-point percentage in her debut season. Schultz scored in double-figures 36 times at Prairie View A&M, including 11 20-point outings. She also pulled down five or more rebounds three times, dished out three or more assists three times and tallied multiple steals in 12 games.
HEAVEN SHOCKLEY
Forward // 6-0 // Springfield, Mo. / Lebanon / Evangel
Shockley was a WBCA and NAIA All-American in 2025-26 after being unanimously selected First Team All-KCAC. The 2025-26 KCAC Newcomer of the Year, she also earned All-Defensive Team honors for an Evangel Team which won 28 games, its most in over 20 years. Shockley led the Valor in scoring and rebounding at 14.7 points and 6.8 boards per game, while also adding 1.9 assists, 2.0 steals and 2.1 blocks per game. She ranked in the top five in the conference in steals and blocks, while earning top-10 conference ranks in points and rebounds. Shockley was also a First Team All-AMC, AMC All-Defensive Team and AMC All-Tournament Team selection in 2024-25 at Mission, where she led the Patriots to a 25-win season. She ranked second in the NAIA with 91 blocks at Mission while averaging 15.1 points, 7.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.8 steals per game in 2024-25 to go alongside her 2.8 blocks per contest. Shockley led the league in blocks, was fifth in rebounds and ranked inside the top 15 in the AMC in points and steals. She started her career at Lincoln (Mo.), appearing in 11 games off the bench and finishing the 2023-24 season with 16 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks in limited minutes. Shockley has scored in double-figures 50 times in her career, including 15 games with 20-plus points and a pair of 30-point outings. She also has 47 games with five or more rebounds, 15 games with three or more assists, 34 games with multiple steals and 46 games with multiple blocks in her career.
ASHLEY SINGHATEH
Guard // 5-8 // Maize, Kan. / Maize South / Butler CC
Singhateh was a two-time First Team All-KCCCA selection at Butler CC and was named the league's Freshman of the Year in the 2024-25 campaign. She was named to the KJCCC All-Tournament Team in 2025-26 after leading Butler to a regular season and tournament championship. Singhateh averaged 12.6 points, 5.5 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game across her two seasons at Butler, including a team-high 13.1 points per game in 2024-25 which ranked ninth in the conference. She was fifth in the conference in assists in 2025-26 and also owned a top-15 ranking in steals that season, while earning top-15 rankings in both stats in 2024-25. Singhateh was also one of the best at getting to the charity stripe, ranking in the top three in the KJCCC in free throws attempted in both of her seasons at Butler. She scored in double-figures 46 times across her two seasons at Butler CC, including eight 20-point games. In addition, she also had 45 games with five or more rebounds, 42 games with three or more assists and 35 games with multiple steals.
NATALIA WILLIAMS
Guard // 5-9 // Queens, N.Y. / South Shore / Chicago State
Williams joins the Sycamores after appearing in 51 games over the last two seasons at Chicago State, where she started 14 times and averaged 5.3 points and 2.0 rebounds per game. She averaged 7.5 points and 2.5 rebounds per contest across 19 games in 2025-26, ranking third on the team in scoring while helping Chicago State record its most wins in over 15 years. Williams also appeared in 32 games in the 2024-25 season at Chicago State, averaging 3.8 points and 1.6 rebounds per game for a Cougar team which tallied a six-win improvement from the previous season. Across her two seasons at Chicago State, Williams scored in double-figures seven times. She pulled down five or more rebounds in four games, while dishing out multiple assists in eight games and tallying multiple steals on seven occasions.
JAZELLE YOUNG
Forward // 6-2 // Chicago, Ill. / Kenwood Academy / Rock Valley College
Young spent the 2025-26 season at Rock Valley College, where she nearly averaged a double-double with 10.1 points and 7.3 rebounds per game, marks which both ranked among the top three on the team. Prior to that, she played at Eastern Florida State College in the 2024-25 campaign, averaging 7.0 points and a team-leading 6.8 rebounds per game. Originally a Loyola Chicago signee before going the junior college route, Young played in 43 games with 18 starts across her two seasons of junior college. She scored in double-figures 17 times, while pulling down five or more rebounds in 34 games. Young also had a trio of games with three or more assists, 12 games with multiple steals and 13 games with multiple blocks in her career.
AALIYAH YOUNGBLOOD
Guard // 5-8 // Elk Grove, Calif. / Monterey Trail / San Joaquin Delta College
Youngblood was a WBCA All-American in the 2025-26 season while also earning First Team All-State and State Tournament MVP honors after leading San Joaquin Delta to the 3C2A Championship. She was also a two-time First Team All-Big 8 Conference selection after averaging 14.3 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.4 assists and 3.1 steals per game in her two seasons. Youngblood ranked third in the conference in scoring last season with a team-high 16.9 points per game, while ranking third among all California junior college players with 117 steals in the 2025-26 campaign. She ranked fourth in the conference in steals in 2024-25, while averaging more than two assists and 2.5 rebounds per game in each of her two seasons at San Joaquin Delta. Youngblood scored in double-figures 46 times during her tenure at San Joaquin Delta, including 15 games with 20-plus points and three with 30 or more points. She also pulled down five or more rebounds in six games dished out three or more assists in 25 games. Youngblood was a force on the defensive end, registering multiple steals in 46 games and tallying five or more steals on 16 occasions.
The incoming class of Sycamores joins a pair of returners in
Jayci Allen and
Amerie Flowers. Flowers averaged 7.9 points and 5.9 rebounds per game last season, ranking in the top 15 in the MVC in rebounds despite playing just 15 minutes per game. Allen was among the top 3-point shooters in the conference in 2025-26, averaging 9.4 points and 4.1 rebounds per game while leading the Sycamores with 50 3-pointers.
