The Sycamores (2-3-2) enter the matchup after battling to a 1-1 draw at Eastern Illinois on Thursday afternoon. ISU fell behind in the 24th minute when the Panthers connected on a cross and finish, but the Sycamores responded with strong play in the second half. ISU controlled possession after halftime, outshooting EIU 11-3 and finally pulling level when Alex Lehnert scored the equalizer in the 79th minute. The result marked the third time this season ISU has fought back to secure a draw, showing the team's resilience and ability to adjust under pressure.
Indiana State's attack has steadily created opportunities throughout the early part of the season. The Sycamores recorded 21 shots in their Senior Day win over Western Illinois and followed it with another double-digit effort on the road against Eastern Illinois.
