TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State heads back on the road this week as the Sycamores visit Chattanooga on Thursday, Aug. 21. Kickoff time is 6 p.m. ET, and live stats and streaming will be provided by ESPN+ and GoSycamores.com.
Indiana State (1-1-0) got a boost from its strong home performance Sunday, when the Sycamores defeated Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College by a 13-0 score at Memorial Stadium. The offense set the tone with six goals in the first half— two each by
Alex Lehnert and
Addyson Warner —before tacking on seven more in the second half to conclude the match.
Indiana State outshot the Pomeroys 59-1, including 32-1 in shots on goal, while goalie
Rosemary Elliott preserved the shutout after relieving starter
Alicia Perez at halftime.
Ten different Sycamores have scored so far over the 2025 season with
Isabella Berta, Lehnert, and Warner all finding the net twice against SMWC.
Skylar Cano,
Addison Hamm,
Kaitlynn Long,
Lina Fasquelle,
CharlieBleu Saunders,
Quinn Urquhart, and
Madison Ziebarth also found the back of the net on the year.
The Sycamores have utilized four different goalkeepers over the first two matches of the season, with
Lola Minic,
Delaney Timmons,
Alicia Perez, and
Rosemary Elliott all playing 45 minutes in net to date. Minic and Timmons drew the playing time against Purdue, while Perez and Elliott shut out the Pomeroys.
Chattanooga (1-1-0) rolls in looking to build off the momentum of a pair of early-season matches. The Mocs got started with a 4-0 victory against Winthrop, stifling the Eagles with a stalwart defensive effort. On the weekend, Chattanooga lost 1-0 at Alabama in an away match. Goalkeeper Caroline Ekern made nine career-high saves to keep the Mocs in the defensive match against the Crimson Tide.
Thursday's match marks the first time the two programs have faced each other in nearly 25 years. Indiana State claimed a 3-1 win in the last meeting on September 16, 2000, in Murray, Ky.
