Sycamores announce signing of Paige Collie

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State head softball coach Windy Thees announced the addition of Paige Collie to the 2025-26 softball roster as the Lake Land College transfer will join the Sycamores for the upcoming season.

Collie joins the Sycamores by way of Sycamore, Ill. and Lake Land College after two standout seasons with the Lakers. She is coming off a season where she earned First Team All-GRAC All-Region honors after guiding the Lakers to the Region XXIV Championship and the NJCAA Softball World Series.

Collie led the Lakers with a .443 batting average over the course of the 2025 season as the infielder lined up and played in 48 games on the field. She posted a team-high 15 home runs and 16 doubles, while adding 57 RBIs and 49 runs scored. Her numbers were even better in conference competition as she hit .521 from the plate over 25 games with 11 home runs and 41 RBIs, while adding 10 doubles.

The 2024-25 numbers built off a 2023-24 freshman campaign that saw her hit .281 from the plate with a pair of home runs and nine RBIs in limited field action.

Collie was a two-time All-State selection at Sycamore High School, as well as earning All-Area and All-Conference honors in both 2021 and 2022. She posted a .470 batting average, .520 on-base percentage, and 1.011 slugging percentage over her senior season. She also lined up on the Chicago Cheetahs club team.

She plans on majoring in sport management at Indiana State and is the daughter of Trevor and Denise Collie.
