KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Indiana State men's basketball senior Samage Teel was named to the 2024-25 NABC Division I All-District in the Great Lakes Region, announced on Tuesday morning.

Other schools represented on first and second teams were Michigan, Michigan State, Minnesota, Illinois, Marquette, Purdue, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Indiana, Notre Dame, Purdue Fort Wayne, SIUE, Bradley (Duke Deen), and IU Indy.

Teel was the only Sycamore to start each game this season. He averaged 16.9 points per game, 4.1 rebounds per game, and 5.2 assists per game shooting 47.3% from the field, 34.7% from three, and 78.7% from the free throw line. He played 1,085 minutes (33.9 per game) this season.
 
The Greenville, N.C. native was selected to the All-MVC First Team and Newcomer Team. He earned Newcomer of the Week four times throughout the season.
 
With the numbers, he led the team in points per game, assists per game, and total steals (39). Following the conclusion of the MVC Tournament, Teel finished third in points per game (16.9), third in assists per game (5.2), sixth in field goal percentage (47.3%), 10th in free throw percentage (78.7%), and 11th in minutes per game (33.9).
 
Teel scored a career high 36 points making six threes in a home win against Illinois State. This game marked the most single-game points by a Sycamore since 2006. He recorded 15 games with 20+ points, 15 games with 5+ rebounds, 15 games with 5+ assists, and five games with nine-plus assists.
 
On two occasions he recorded 11 assists, setting a career high. On November 16 at Ball State he finished with a double-double of 14 points and 11 assists, and later in the season against Belmont he notched 11 assists with six rebounds.
