PALM COAST, Fla. – Indiana State women's golf turns around quickly following the last tournament, playing again on March 13-14 in Palm Coast, Fla.
This tournament is at The Conservatory Course at Hammock Beach Resort and Spa, the first time the Trees will play the course as a team. This is a par-72 course ranging 5,995 yards. Round One tee times start at 10:30 a.m. ET on March 13, and on March 14 play starts at 8 a.m. ET with a shotgun start. The Sycamores compete against six other universities, including UIC and the host, Purdue Fort Wayne.
This is the second tournament on the spring slate, after the Sycamores just opened the schedule on Monday and Tuesday. The squad placed ninth of 16 team led by
Rosalie DiNunzio. She finished tied for 11th place after jumping 13 spots between rounds one and two, shooting an 80-77 in the tournament.
Freshman
Gabby Cone played as an individual and set a new career low in her fourth overall tournament. She also jumped between rounds one and two, up 15 spots propelling her to tie in 36th place. She finished +18, including her second round 78. Cone finished the tournament shooting even on par-5s, tying for fifth best in the tournament.
Following the Hammock Beach Invitational, the Sycamores will return to the course on March 24-26 in Hollister, Mo. for the Ozarks National Invitational.
