Wagner named GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's basketball's Camp Wagner was named this week's GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.

Wagner was key in the Sycamores' second-half comeback against Missouri State in the midweek game and then followed up with a career performance in Saturday's win at UIC in leading Indiana State men's basketball to a 2-0 week.

The Dallas, Texas native scored all 14 of his points in the second half on Wednesday evening inside the Hulman Center in leading the Sycamores' comeback against the Bears. He went 4-for-4 from the floor late in the game, including hitting a three-pointer at the 2:53 mark to pull Indiana State back within two points, before connecting at the 1:15 mark to tie the game up at 65-65. He finished the game with three rebounds, an assist, and a steal over 26 minutes on the court.

Wagner followed up this past Saturday against UIC and hit four of his first five shots from the floor on his way to scoring a career and game-high 22 points. Wagner was 7-for-12 from the floor and 5-of-9 from behind the three-point line, while adding a career-high three blocked shots.

The GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2024-25 athletic season.
