ST. LOUIS - Indiana State men's basketball senior 
Samage Teel earned his fourther MVC Newcomer of the Week selection, annouced from the league off on Monday.
Samage Teel scored 36 points on Saturday afternoon, the most points in a game by a Sycamore since 2006. He led Indiana State to a home MVC win with his career-high 36 points on 14-for-23 shooting, making 6-of-9 from downtown, also a career high. He recorded one rebound, four assists, two steals, and one block.
In the two-game week, he averaged 28.5 PPG, 1.5 RPG, and 5.0 APG shooting a combined 58.3% (21-36) from the field, 53.3% (8-15) from deep, and 87.5% (7-8) from the line.
In game two, he scored seven of the team's first nine points. Later in the game, Indiana State was down by three with under seven minutes to play before Teel went on a personal 10-0 run that gave the Sycamores the lead for good.
Earlier in the week, Teel scored 21 points that marked his third 20+ point game in the previous five, shooting a perfect 5-of-5 from the free throw line and dishing out a game-high six assists.
The Sycamores are in action at home this Wednesday, February 19 versus Evansville with tip off set for 7 p.m. ET.
