TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State returns to Missouri Valley Conference play on Sunday, October 5, when the Sycamores travel to face Drake. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. ET, with live coverage available via ESPN+ and live stats through GoSycamores.com. 

Indiana State (5-3-5, 1-0-2) enters the matchup energized off a convincing 2–0 road win at Evansville. The Sycamores struck first in the 14th minute when they earned a penalty, and Brooklyn Woods converted with a sharp shot into the top center of the net. Midway through the second half, Skylar Cano extended the lead with a finish off an assist, securing the margin. Indiana State outshot Evansville 20–13, and goalkeeper Delaney Timmons made seven saves to preserve the shutout.  

That result reflected ISU's ability to finish chances and defend strongly when under pressure. The win also served as a confidence boost in conference play, showing that the Sycamores can execute in tight MVC environments. 

Drake (5-3-4, 2-0-1) will provide a different test. The Bulldogs have played with intensity in league matches and will look to challenge ISU. Indiana State will seek to bring that same composure and finishing edge from Evansville into this match. 

For the Sycamores, Sunday's matchup is an opportunity to create momentum. After a dominant performance on Sunday, Indiana State will aim to carry that forward by combining sharp attacking play, controlled defense, and mental resilience to grab key conference points in Des Moines.
