Seeman to represent Indiana State, Missouri Valley Conference at 2025 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum

TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State baseball's Carson Seeman will represent the university, as well as the Missouri Valley Conference at the 2025 NCAA Student-Athlete Leadership Forum this coming November.

Seeman, a 2025 MVC First Team Scholar-Athlete selection, made 19 relief appearances on the mound over this past spring in his first season with the Sycamores. The Auburn, Calif. native recorded his first save with the Sycamores following a scoreless relief stint on April 15, 2025, at Indiana in Indiana State's 7-5 win over the Hoosiers. He added scoreless relief appearances at Vanderbilt, UIC, Belmont, Purdue, and SEMO, among others, while recording a season-high five strikeouts against Pacific in mid-March.

"Carson is an engaged and productive member of our Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC)," Deputy Athletic Director/SWA Angie Lansing said. "He takes ownership in his contributions to his peers and has noticeable leadership qualities as a member of our team. I am excited for Carson to have this opportunity to learn and grow and represent not only Indiana State University but the Missouri Valley Conference as well."

The event, which will be held Nov. 20-23 in Dallas, Texas, was created in 1997 and has served as a life-changing experience for more than 5,000 NCAA student-athletes who have grown personally and professionally as a result of their attendance. Student-athletes selected to attend the forum return to campus with invaluable leadership skills, a refined understanding of the relationship among personal values, core beliefs and behavioral styles and the support of a close personal network of like-minded peers to provide continued connection and dialogue after the program concludes.

Seeman will be joined by Northern Iowa women's soccer's Denise Camarena as the two Missouri Valley representatives for the event.
