EVANSVILLE, Ind. - Indiana State golf plays in their final tournament of the fall at the Braun Intercollegiate, hosted by the University of Evansville, from October 20-21.
The tournament is being played at the Oak Meadow Country Club. This year's field totals 12 teams, including Evansville, Belmont, UIC, and Valparaiso. This is a par-72 course where the teams will play 36 holes,18 per day.
All eight Sycamores will play in the tournament, but the scoring lineup consists of
Yang Tai,
Sophia Florek,
Keira Brazeau,
Alana Gilbert, and
Rosalie DiNunzio.
Gabby Cone,
Eliza Baker, and
Nicole Feistl will each compete as an individual.
Sophia Florek led the Sycamores in their last time out, placing third while leading the team to a second-place finish at the Toledo Rocket Classic. The third-place finish for Florek tied for the lowest finish of her collegiate career, carding a 149 (+5, 76-73), which is tied for her lowest score through a two-round tournament at Indiana State.
Yang Tai was the second-lowest Sycamore finisher, tying for sixth place. She shot a 152 (+8, 74-78) to finish inside the top six individually for the sixth time as a Sycamore.
