TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State's full 2024-25 women's basketball schedule has officially been released, with the Missouri Valley Conference announcing the Sycamores' 20-game league slate Thursday afternoon.
Indiana State opens MVC play at home, welcoming Northern Iowa to Hulman Center for a December 29 tilt in the only meeting between the schools this season. The Trees start January with road games at Illinois State (Jan. 2) and Bradley (Jan. 5) before returning to Hulman Center for at three-game homestand.
The Sycamores begin their three-game homestand January 12 against in-state foe Evansville, and will also Southern Illinois (Jan. 16) and Missouri State (Jan. 19) during the home stretch. Indiana State has a quick two-game road trip to Murray State (Jan. 24) and Belmont (Jan. 26) before closing the month at home against Valparaiso January 30.
Indiana State opens the month of February with a home contest against UIC (Feb. 1), before hitting the road for games at Missouri State (Feb. 7) and Southern Illinois (Feb. 9). The Sycamores return home to face Illinois State (Feb. 13) and Bradley (Feb. 16) before embarking on a four-game road trip, the longest of conference play for the Blue and White.
The Sycamores' lengthy road trip begins February 21 at UIC and also features trips to Valparaiso (Feb. 23), Drake (Feb. 27) and Evansville (March 1). Indiana State's game at Drake is the only meeting between the Sycamores and the defending conference champions this season.
Indiana State closes the regular season at Hulman Center with games against Belmont (March 6) and Murray State (March 8). The 2025 MVC Women's Basketball Tournament will take place March 13-16 at the Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Indiana State's 2024-25 non-conference schedule was previously announced in August, and features four games against teams from the Big East, Big Ten or Big XII, and five against 2023-24 postseason teams. The Sycamores begin their season at home November 4 against Western Kentucky.
The 2024-25 season ushers in a new era for Indiana State Women's Basketball, as
Marc Mitchell enters his first season as the Sycamores' head coach. In addition to an entirely new coaching staff, six newcomers enter the fold for the Trees for the 2024-25 campaign. Nine players return from last year's team for Indiana State, all of which played in at least 14 games during the 2023-24 season.
