TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's cross country runner
Emma Gresham becomes the first two-time winner of the GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week as the sophomore was announced by the athletic department on Monday afternoon.
Gresham continues to attack the course in her second season in the Indiana State Blue & White as the Lynnville, Ind. native was the Sycamores' top finisher this past weekend at the John McNichols Invite held at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Gresham clocked a time of 21:03.7, breaking her previous best in the event by nearly a minute to place second overall in the field. It marked her second consecutive second-place finish after also taking runner-up in the field at the Sam Bell Invite back on August 31 in Bloomington on her way to setting the school-record in the 4K.
The Sycamores women's team recorded their second second-place finish in the team standings at the John McNichols Invite finishing just behind Michigan in the meet.
The GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every Monday afternoon throughout the 2024-25 athletic season.
