EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Indiana State's
Randal Diaz,
Zach Davidson, and
Luke Hayden were all named to the MVC All-Tournament Team as announced by the conference office following the conclusion of the 2024 MVC Championships.
Diaz earns the honors for the second time in his collegiate career, while Davidson and Hayden both were voted to the team for the first time as Indiana State rallied through three elimination games to advance to their fourth MVC title game in the last five conference tournaments.
Diaz, the 2023 MVC Tournament Most Outstanding Player, shined throughout the postseason as the Toa Alta, Puerto Rico native paced the Indiana State offense with a .524 batting average with a team-high 11 hits in 21 at-bats. He finished the five games with six runs scored, a double, a home run, and five RBIs, while posting a .577 on-base percentage and team-leading .714 slugging percentage.

The Hartsburg, Mo. native went a career-long 7.1 innings allowing three hits and one run while striking out 14 Racers as the Sycamores eliminated Murray State from the conference tournament.
Hayden followed up the next day with Indiana State's best start in the tournament as the junior right-hander went 6.0 strong innings allowing three hits while striking out nine in ISU's 5-3 win over UIC. He allowed four walks and limited the Flames to just a .167 batting average in picking up his second win over UIC in the 2024 season to advance Indiana State to Saturday's final day contests.
