This will be the 83rd meeting between the Sycamores and Bears. ISU won earlier this season in Terre Haute 88-66. Through the years, MSU has compiled a 36-5 record against ISU when playing in Springfield.
About Missouri State
Missouri State is in their 6th season with Coach Dana Ford at the helm. The Bears sit in a four-way tie for six place in the MVC and was selected to finish in sixth in the preseason poll. MSU in 2022-23 finished 17-15 overall and 12-8 in the MVC. The Bears were knocked out of the MVC Tournament in the Quarterfinal by Southern Illinois 54-51. Robbie Avila led Indiana State in scoring for the fifth time this season, tying his career high of 27 points of 10-for-12 shooting. Avila grabbed eight rebounds and recorded two assists.Â
Julian Larry scored 12 points on 4-of-6 from the floor and tallied five rebounds while tying his assist total with nine.Â
Ryan Conwell also finished with 12 points shooting 5-for-9 from the field and recorded four assists, his most in an MVC game.Â
Xavier Bledson tallied 12 points and seven rebounds off the bench in just under 15 minutes; this is Bledson's highest scoring mark since scoring 12 at Drake on Jan. 10.Â
Isaiah Swope rounded out the five Sycamores in double figures with 10 points.
Jayson Kent finished with nine points and six rebounds, with six-of-nine points coming by way of the dunk.Â
Jake Wolfe scored six points, his most since recording nine at Alabama.Â
Aaron Gray tied his career high as a Sycamore with five rebounds.Â

A key 9-1 run midway through the second half propelled home-standing Northern Iowa to a 72-65 win over visiting Missouri State here Wednesday, snapping the Bears' four-game Valley win streak. The Bears (14-10, 6-7) were led by Alston Mason with 19 points, while Matthew Lee and N.J. Benson tacked on 10 apiece. Donovan Clay added 10 rebounds and 3 assists in the game for MoState.
