TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State men's basketball's Samage Teel was named this week's GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week as announced by the athletic department on Tuesday morning.
 
Teel led the Sycamores to a 2-0 week and helped moved the win streak to five in a row. The senior averaged 19.0 points per game, shooting an incredible 71.4% clip from the floor and 44.4% from deep.

Teel was an offense force in the first win of the week, a home MVC victory over Murray State, where he scored a season high 26 points on a 10-for-13 shooting effort. Teel missed his first shot attempt on the day but made the next nine, starting the game 9-for-10. He finished in every way but a dunk, finishing layups at the rim, stepback midrange jumpers, and four three-pointers. His 20-plus point effort was his third-straight and seventh in 11 total games.
 
Teel made his presence felt in the second game against University of Health Sciences and Pharmacy scoring 12 points on 5-of-8 shooting in just 22 minutes.
 
The GoGo Squeez ISU Student-Athlete of the Week will be announced every week throughout the 2024-25 athletic season.
