TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State is back at the Vigo County Aquatic Center this weekend as the Sycamores wrap up the home portion of the 2024 calendar on Friday evening against Eastern Illinois. Events are set to begin at 6 p.m. ET with live results running on MeetMobile.
The Sycamores head into the meet two weeks removed from their first dual meet of the 2024-25 season, a 213.5-86.5 win over Illinois State back on October 4, in Normal, Ill. Indiana State went on to set four pool/facility records overall in the meet win over the Redbirds, while
Chloe Farro (Swimmer) and
Maria Saldana Riebeling (Freshman) claimed Missouri Valley Conference weekly honors.
"After a weekend off, we're looking forward to getting back into competition," head coach
Josh Christensen. "We've been consistent in training and Friday will be an opportunity to work on race execution. We'll be wearing pink caps in honor of breast conference awareness month. That's a cause that's important to our program, as the families of several current and former student-athletes have been impacted by breast cancer."
Overall, Indiana State claimed 13 of the 16 event wins in the pool against the Redbirds in their first competition of the 2024-25 season.
