ISU Basketball Battles the Bulldogs on Wednesday

Series History

Drake was selected to finish first in the conference with 24 votes. Drake lost in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament to fifth-seed Miami 63-56. Last Time Out - Indiana State
Indiana State men's basketball moved to 4-0 in the Missouri Valley Conference and 13-2 overall with the win Sunday afternoon at Northern Iowa, 77-66.

Jayson Kent led the offense with a huge career day, setting personal highs in points and rebounds. Kent finished with 24 points on 8-for-13 shooting from the floor, his career high in points in his collegiate career, and added a 5-for-7 effort from the foul line. The junior knocked down three triples for a new season high, tying his total in a Sycamore uniform. On the glass, he grabbed 13 rebounds for a career high marking his fourth double-double of the season.

Robbie Avila also recorded double-digits in rebounds with 10, marking the third time in his career he has finished with 10+ rebounds. En route to the highest plus-minus of the game of 15, Avila scored eight points and tied his career-high with eight assists, also good for the game-high. Isaiah Swope finished with 11 points, three rebounds, and three assists. Julian Larry and Ryan Conwell rounded out the four total Sycamores who finished with 10+ points, both recording 10 apiece. Masen Miller logged nine points, his second-highest point total of the season, by knocking down a trio of three-pointers.

Last Time Out - Drake
The Drake men's basketball team was dealt its first Missouri Valley Conference loss of the season by Belmont in an 87-65 decision at the Curb Event Center on Sunday afternoon. Junior transfer guard Atin Wright led Drake with 14 points, including 11 in the second half. Junior forward Tucker DeVries added 13 points, including 11 in the first half.
