TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Freshmen
Parker Mimbela and
Brenna Sobecki paced Indiana State's contingent at the Nike XC Town Twilight Friday night, leading the way for the Sycamores at LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.
Sobecki was the top finisher for the Trees in 13th, her 6k time coming in at 23:47.0.
Robyn Schemel also secured a top-15 finish in the women's 6k with a time of 23:56.3, while
Kamilla Gibson placed 21st with a time of 24:31.4.
Cami Farmer rounded out the women's contingent competing on the Sycamores' home course with a time of 25:05.0 to finish 28th.
Mimbela placed 19th in the men's 8k with a time of 26:22.0.
Jackson Ward and
Cannen Wolf both placed in the top 40 in the field with times of 26:59.7 and 27:15.1, while
Isaac Bryant closed out the Sycamore contingent in the men's 8k with a time of 27:58.2.
Indiana State did not record a team score in either race, as the Sycamores only had four athletes in each of the two races.
