Welcome to the Forest
Although just two meets into the season, Indiana State has seen 13 athletes make their Sycamore debuts during the 2023 campaign.

Isaac Bryant, Tommy Claxton, Parker Mimbela, Jackson Ward and Ryan York all competed in their first races for Indiana State's men's team during the opening two meets of the year. On the women's side, Rachel Conhoff, Kamilla Gibson, Hadley Gradolf, Emma Gresham, Halle Miller, Robyn Schemel, Brenna Sobecki and Allison Steffey have all made their Indiana State debuts this season.

Conhoff, Gresham, Gradolf and Miller have been among Indiana State's top seven on the women's side in both races this season. York and Claxton have been the top newcomers on the men's side in both meets contested thus far.

Familiarity
Indiana State has a leg up on its competitors in Friday's Nike XC Town Twilight, as the Sycamores regularly train at the LaVern Gibson Championship Cross Country Course.

In addition, Indiana State has already competed once at the course this season, playing host to its annual John McNichols Invitational earlier in the month.

Record-Setters
Saturday's Live in Lou Cross Country Classic gives Indiana State another opportunity to post strong times on a fast course. Nearly every Sycamore in last year's edition of the meet posted a personal-best time.

Jackson Krieg, Jason Dworak and Logan Pietrzak's times from the 2022 Live in Lou Cross Country Classic are all among the top 15 men's 8k times in program history.

Up Next
Indiana State's final meet before the MVC Championships is the Bradley Pink Classic, slated for the afternoon of October 13.
