TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State Head Women's Basketball Coach
Chad Killinger announced the Sycamores' 2023-24 non-conference schedule Friday afternoon. The 10-game non-conference slate includes three home contests at Hulman Center and an MTE in Puerto Rico.
"We are looking forward to the challenges that our non-conference schedule will provide as we continue to build towards MVC play," Killinger said. "We have an exciting group of young women who want to compete at a high level and are working to gel as quickly as possible with 10 new faces on the roster."
Indiana State opens its 2023-24 season with back-to-back road games, as the Sycamores will travel to Northern Kentucky on November 6 and Missouri on November 9 for their first two games. The Trees will play host to Illinois Springfield on November 15 for the home opener, with Wright State also paying a visit to Hulman Center on November 18.
Indiana State closes the month of November in San Juan, Puerto Rico, as the Sycamores will take part in the Puerto Rico Clasico November 23-25. The Trees open play on the island on Thanksgiving Day against Radford and will also play Northern Illinois on November 25.
"Our trip to Puerto Rico is the kind of trip I have wanted to put together since arriving at Indiana State, and while we are going there to compete, we want to make the trip as enjoyable as possible for our student-athletes," Killinger said.
The Sycamores start December back on the mainland with a trip to Central Michigan (Dec. 2), followed by their final home non-conference game against Southeast Missouri State on December 10. Trips to Ohio (Dec. 17) and Purdue (Dec. 20) round out the non-conference slate for the Sycamores.
