NORMAL, Ill. – Indiana State finished 13th overall following the final round of the Illinois State Redbird Invitational as the Sycamores closed out the opening tournament at the Weibring Golf Course.
 
The Sycamores closed out the tournament with a final round 323 (+35) to close out Monday's round in Normal. Indiana State's final three-round 935 (+71) wrapped up ISU's opening tournament of the fall 2023 schedule.
 
Kristen Hobbs led the Sycamores through the tournament finishing 40th overall in the field with a three-round score 227 (+11). The Anderson, Ind. native turned in a final-round 77 (+5) to wrap up her first event of the year.
 
Iyoun Chew (+18) turned in a final-round 82 (+10) to finish tied for 62nd overall in the field. The senior athlete posted five consecutive bogeys over her final round on her way to turning in a pair of 41s over both the front and back nines.
 
Chelsea Morrow (+20) moved into a tie for 69th overall in the field as the senior finished the day highlighted by a birdie on the second hole. The Fishers, Ind. native turned in a final-round 83 (+11) to wrap up the afternoon.
 
Briana LeMaire (+24) finished the tournament sitting 79th overall in the field. The sophomore posted an 81 (+9) over the final day of event including a birdie on the par-3 seventh hole to finish with a three-round score 240.
 
Eliza Baker (+30) closed out the tournament in a two-way tie for 85th in the field. The sophomore posted a final-round 83 (+11) over the final day to close out the tournament with a three-round score 246.
 
Bradley (+1) claimed the team title by one stroke over Illinois State (+2) to close out the final day. South Dakota State (+10), St. Thomas (+13), and Northern Illinois (+18) rounded out the top-five in the team standings.
 
Bradley's Grace Aromando (-16) took the individual tournament title, while Illinois State's Jinyoung Yun (-12) finished runner-up.
