SEVIERVILLE, Tenn. - Battling wet and rainy conditions at Sevierville Golf Club, the Sycamores sit in 12th place after the first round of the Bobby Nichols Intercollegiate hosted by Tennessee Tech.

The Sycamores shot a 322 in the first round and are five strokes behind fellow Missouri Valley Conference foe UNI and three strokes ahead of Tusculum.

Freshman
Briana LeMaire played her way into the lineup this week and led Indiana State in the first round with a 79 to put her tied for 45th place after the first 18 holes.

Chelsea Morrow,
Molly Lee, and
Iyoun Chew all sit tied for 55th with a first-round 81 while
Kristen Hobbs rounds out the lineup with an 82 to put her tied for 61st at the end of day one.

LeMaire and Hobbs each tallied a pair of birdies on the day.

Eliza Baker is playing as an individual and shot an 83 in the first round.
