ELKHART & BLOOMINGTON, Ind. – Marni Gray continues to make her mark on the Indiana State record books as the senior became the first ISU swimmer to advance to two different CSCAA Finals to highlight the Sycamores on Friday.
 
One day after advancing to the 50-yard Fly finals, Gray again finished in the top-20 this time in the 100-yard Fly. The Toronto, Canada native finished 14th overall in the field to highlight one of her signature events at Indiana State.
 
Zoe Smith closed out her time at the NCAA Zone C Diving events as the junior finished 45th overall in the 1M Diving event. Smith's appearance was also historic as the first ISU diver to qualify for the NCAA Zones in program history.
 
2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championship – Friday Finals – Elkhart, Ind.
Marni Gray competed in her second individual final in as many days as the senior took on the field in the 100-yard Fly on Friday evening. The Toronto, Canada native finished 14th in the field with the third-fastest time in ISU history after touching the wall in 54.21.
 
The Sycamores posted a top-15 finish in the 200-yard Medley Relay to open the Friday night competition. The quartet of Carmen Alard Vegas, Kaimi Matsumoto, Marni Gray, and Alexa Szadorski touched the wall in 1:42.05 to post the fourth-fastest time in program history in the event on their way to finishing 14th in the field.
 
ISU added a top-20 finish in the 800-yard Freestyle Relay with the team of Rhiannon Wozny, Dorotea Bukvic, Esther Rydbeck Norden, and Peyton Heagy going in 7:29.15. The Sycamores placed 18th overall in the field in the event.

2023 NCAA Zone C Diving - Friday Prelims – Bloomington, Ind.
Zoe Smith closed out her historic run at the NCAA Zone C Diving meet as the junior took on the field in the 1M Diving event.
 
Smith went through all six dives on the day posting 40-plus points on both her second and sixth attempts on her way to finishing 45th overall in the field. Smith's best dive was her second as the Raleigh, N.C. native scored 44.40 points on her Inward 1 ½ Somersault Pike. She added a 41.25 on her final dive of the meet after completing a Back 1 ½ Somersault 1 ½ Twist Free.

2023 CSCAA National Invitational Championship- Friday Prelims/Time Trials – Elkhart, Ind.
Two Sycamores took on the field in the 400-yard IM to start Friday's prelims in Elkhart, Ind. Dorotea Bukvic continued her strong sophomore season finishing 25th in the field in 4:27.51, while fellow sophomore Alexandria Cotter added a top-30 finish after touching the wall 29th in 4:29.16.
 
Marni Gray advanced to her second final in as many days as the senior finished inside the top-20 in the 100-yard Butterfly. Gray finished 14th in the field in 54.60 in posting the fifth-fastest time in school history.
 
Kaimi Matsumoto was the Sycamore representative in the 100-yard Breaststroke and the senior responded by posting the eighth-fastest time in school history in the event. Matsumoto went 1:03.64 on her way to finishing 41st in the field.
 
Carmen Alard Vegas was the final Sycamore to compete in the prelims on Friday morning with the senior taking on the field in the 100-yard Backstroke. Her time of 57.21 put her 72nd overall in the field.
 
Three Sycamores competed in time trials on Friday with Raine Boles taking on the 100-yard Fly (56.09), Alexa Szadorski the 100-yard Breaststroke (1:03.94), and Chloe Farro the 50-yard Freestyle (23.83).
