Last Time Out
Indiana State overcame a double-digit deficit on the road Saturday afternoon, defeating Central Michigan 73-65 inside McGuirk Arena.

Bella Finnegan led a balanced scoring effort with 18 points, while Ella Sawyer, Kiley Bess and Asia Donald added 12 points each. Sawyer dished out a season-best seven assists, while Savannah White led the Sycamores with nine rebounds.

Indiana State got off to a cold start from the floor, as Central Michigan built a 10-point advantage midway through the second quarter. Donald kept the Sycamores within reach with 12 first-half points, and the Trees got things going in the last 20 minutes. Indiana State outscored Central Michigan 43-29 in the second half, with Finnegan scoring 15 in the half. A 10-0 Sycamore run to open the fourth quarter proved to be the difference, and the Trees were strong from the charity stripe to seal their win on the road.

Crashing The Glass
Indiana State registered a season-high 24 offensive rebounds in its 73-65 win over Central Michigan, with five different Sycamores recording three or more offensive rebounds against the Chippewas. The Sycamores turned their extra possessions into 14 second chance points, 12 of which came in the second half as ISU overturned an early double-digit deficit.

Indiana State's 24 offensive rebounds were the most for the Sycamores since January 9, 2015, when the Sycamores had 24 offensive rebounds against Bradley. The Sycamores lead the MVC with 14.9 offensive rebounds per game, while Mya Glanton also leads all MVC players with 4.3 offensive boards per contest.

Letting it Fly
Indiana State did not shoot the ball particularly well against Central Michigan, but the Sycamores found their stroke from distance in their 73-65 win over the Chippewas. Four different Sycamores hit 3-pointers in the game, while Indiana State connected on a season-best 10 treys, hitting at a season-best 40 percent clip for the game.

Indiana State's 10 3-pointers were the Sycamores' most in a road game since knocking down 10 in a road win at Drake on December 30, 2021.

Valley vs. Valley
Sunday's game is Indiana State's first against an opponent from the OVC in more than two years, as the Sycamores' last OVC foe was Eastern Illinois on Nov. 17, 2021. ISU's last win against an OVC school came on Dec. 7, 2020 against Western Illinois.

Call it a Comeback
Indiana State overcame a double-digit deficit in its most recent game against Central Michigan, as the Sycamores came back from being down 10 in the first half to defeat the Chippewas on the road.

Last week's win was Indiana State's first time coming back from double-digits to win since overturning a 10-point deficit in a 62-56 win over Murray State last season.

Balancing Act
Indiana State showcased a balanced offense to close out November, as four Sycamores scored in double-figures against both Wright State and Radford. Bella Finnegan and Mya Glanton have been in double-figures in each of the last two games, with Chelsea Cain and Kiley Bess hitting double-digits against Wright State, and Asia Donald and Ella Sawyer scoring 10-plus points against Radford.

Indiana State has also made it hard to key in on particular players on offense. No Sycamore has led the team in scoring in back-to-back games through Indiana State's first five contests of the season.

Southeast Missouri State at a Glance
Southeast Missouri State enters the weekend at 2-6 overall following consecutive Power Five losses to Missouri and Purdue, two opponents on the 2023-24 Indiana State schedule. The Redhawks' wins have come against Stephens College (Mo.) and Harris-Stowe.

Jaliyah Green leads the Redhawks in scoring at 14.3 points per game and is also second on the team with 4.6 rebounds per game. Alecia Doyle adds 13.5 points per game, while five other Redhawks average more than five points per game. Daejan Richmond (3.4) and Kiyley Flowers (3.1) average more than three assists per game for SEMO.

Rekha Patterson is in her ninth season at the helm of the SEMO women's basketball program and has a career record of 119-128. Patterson is the first female head coach of Southeast Missouri State's Division I era and had previous stints as an assistant at Ball State, Baylor, Creighton and Eastern Illinois.

Series History Against Southeast Missouri State
Indiana State has a 6-1 advantage in the all-time series, though Southeast Missouri State won the most recent meeting in Terre Haute.

The Redhawks' win during the 2019-20 season snapped a six-game win streak for the Sycamores in the series.

Last Meeting Against Southeast Missouri State (Dec. 21, 2019)
Adrian Folks recorded her first career double-double against Southeast Missouri State, but strong offense from SEMO was too much to overcome as the Sycamores fell, 68-58.

Folks had her best performance in a Sycamore uniform, ending the day with her first double-double with 11 points and 11 boards. Caitlin Anderson had 13 points to lead the ISU scoring effort to go along with four rebounds.

Indiana State trailed for all but 41 seconds in the game. Southeast Missouri opened up a 24-point lead, their biggest of the night, with 6:14 remaining in the game. The Sycamores did not give up, however, finishing the game on a 15-3 run that included two and-one opportunities for Anderson with one-minute remaining and closing the final gap to just 10.
