Last Time Out
Mya Glanton led a quartet of Indiana State players in double-figures with 20 points Sunday afternoon, helping the Sycamores to a 65-57 win over Southeast Missouri State inside Hulman Center.

Kiley Bess added 16 for the Blue and White, while Asia Donald came off the bench to score 13 for the Sycamores. Chelsea Cain finished with 11 points for the Sycamores, who led by as many as 18 in the game. Glanton, Cain and Bella Finnegan grabbed five rebounds each, while Cain also dished out five assists.

Indiana State shot the ball well across the game, opening up a double-digit lead in the first quarter thanks to a strong paint presence. The Sycamore offense clicked in the third quarter, with Glanton exploiting SEMO's zone on multiple occasions for easy baskets down low. Indiana State built its lead to as many as 18 following three straight layups from Glanton, but the visiting Redhawks battled back. SEMO cut it to a two-possession game late, but Indiana State's defense held strong and the Sycamores sealed out their second straight win from the line.

Lockdown
Indiana State's defense was a major factor in the Sycamores' 65-57 win over Southeast Missouri State. The Sycamores limited SEMO to a 19-for-51 performance from the field (37.5 percent), while the Redhawks hit just one 3-pointer against the Sycamores.

Indiana State also forced 19 Southeast Missouri State turnovers and was plus-seven (33-26) in rebound margin against the Redhawks.

Spread the Wealth
Indiana State has found balance in its offense in recent weeks, with the Sycamores having four double-digit scorers in four of the last five games. Kiley Bess (12.6 ppg), Bella Finnegan (11.3 ppg), Chelsea Cain (11.1 ppg) and Mya Glanton (10.5 ppg) are all averaging double-figure scoring for the season, while Asia Donald has averaged 10.5 points per game over the last four games.

The balanced scoring effort for the Sycamores has also coincided with Indiana State going 3-1 over its last four games with wins over Radford, Central Michigan and Southeast Missouri State.

Return to the MAC
Sunday's game is Indiana State's third against a Mid-American Conference opponent this season, as the Sycamores are 1-1 against MAC foes in the 2023-24 campaign.

Indiana State is 2-4 against MAC foes under head coach Chad Killinger and 52-35 all-time against MAC foes. Ball State is the most common MAC opponent for the Sycamores, with 32 all-time meetings in the series. Buffalo is the only MAC opponent that Indiana State has not previously faced.

Newcomer Making Noise
Indiana State guard Kiley Bess picked up her second MVC Newcomer of the Week honor this week after helping the Sycamores earn their first home win of the season.

Bess finished with 16 points, four rebounds and three assists in the 65-57 win over Southeast Missouri State, and did not have a turnover in her 33 minutes of playing time.

Bess leads Indiana State in scoring at 12.6 points per game, and also ranks among the Sycamores leaders in rebounds (third, 4.8), assists (second, 2.6) and steals (second, 1.4).

Magic Numbers
Indiana State has been tough to beat when scoring 70 or more points under Chad Killinger. The Sycamores have scored 70-plus points 18 times under Killinger and are 15-3 in those games, including a 2-0 mark this season. Included in that mark is an 8-0 record when scoring 80 or more points. Indiana State has won those eight games by an average of 19 points.

The Sycamores have also been hard to beat when their opponents fail to put up high point totals. Indiana State is 14-4 over the last two seasons when allowing fewer than 60 points, including a 4-0 mark in games where the Trees allowed less than 50 points and a 2-0 mark this season. All of Indiana State's wins when allowing less than 50 points have come by double-digits.

Ohio at a Glance
Ohio enters Sunday's game at 2-5 and has lost each of its last three games. The Bobcats' wins this year have come over Dayton and IUPUI, while their current losing streak includes setbacks against Power Five opponents Ohio State and Syracuse.

Jaya McClure leads the Bobcats in scoring at 13.7 points per game, while seven different players average at least five points per game for Ohio. Madi Mace averages a team-leading 4.6 rebounds per game, while McClure has dished out more than four assists per game.

Bob Boldon is in his 11th season as the head coach at Ohio and his 187 wins at the helm of the Bobcats are the most in program history. Boldon has led Ohio to five postseason appearances in his tenure, including a berth in the NCAA Tournament in 2015.

Series History Against Ohio
Indiana State and Ohio have split the two meetings in the all-time series, with Sunday's game being the first between the two schools in Athens.

Ohio won last year's meeting between the teams in Terre Haute, while Indiana State won the first-ever meeting between the teams in the 1973-74 MAIAW Tournament.

Last Meeting Against Ohio (Nov. 26, 2022)
Bella Finnegan led Indiana State with 10 points, but four Ohio players in double-figures paced the Bobcats to a 74-62 win over the Sycamores inside Hulman Center.

Ella Sawyer had nine points off the bench, while Chelsea Cain and Anna McKendree had eight apiece with Natalia Lalic and Mya Glanton each adding seven. McKendree also had eight rebounds and five assists.

After a high-octane opening quarter, Indiana State struggled to get in a rhythm as Ohio State led for the entirety of the last 30 minutes. The Sycamores got within one early in the third quarter following a McKendree 3-pointer, but an efficient second half from the visitors gave the Sycamores their second straight loss.
