MADISON, Wis. – Rachel Conhoff and
Logan Pietrzak paced Indiana State's contingent at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional Friday afternoon, leading the way for the Sycamores at the Thomas Zimmer Chanmpionship Cross Country Course.
Indiana State finished 16th on the men's side and 22nd on the women's side.
Conhoff was the lone finisher in the top 100 for the Sycamore women, her 6k time of 22:04.9 placing her 88th in the field.
Morgan Dyer (22:23.3) and
Kyra Young (22:35.4) followed behind, while freshmen
Emma Gresham (22:45.7) and
Halle Miller (23:00.5) rounded out the top five for the Trees.
Hadley Gradolf (23:03.8) and
Allison Steffey (23:04.9) closed out the Sycamore contingent on the women's side.
Pietrzak led a group of four Sycamores in the top 100, his 10k time of 31:24.8 coming 76th in the field.
Cael Light (31:30.3) and
Jason Dworak (31:37.5) placed 84th and 89th, respectively, while
Ethan Breen also earned a top-100 finish with a time of 31:42.5.
Jackson Krieg (32:02.3),
Layton Hall (32:16.5) and
Ryan York (32:42.7) rounded out the top seven for the Sycamores.
Butler and Wisconsin earned automatic bids to the NCAA Men's Cross Country National Championship, while Notre Dame and Wisconsin earned the NCAA Women's Cross Country National Championship auto bids. Wisconsin's Bob Liking and Notre Dame's Olivia Markezich won the men's and women's individual titles.
