TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's soccer continues their conference slate as Evansville comes to Memorial Stadium for a Thursday night contest set to begin at 7 p.m. ET.
The Sycamores (0-5-2) began MVC play on September 16 against Belmont, ending in a 0-0 draw.
Indiana State outshot the Bruins 10-4 with
Katie Koger and
Audrey Stephens leading the way with two attempts apiece.
Through seven games,
Mackenzie Kent leads the Sycamore offense with 10 shot attempts and a goal.
Chloe Tesny and
Katie Yankey have also found the back of the net to round out the ISU scoring. In the net for Indiana State,
Maddie Alexander and
Tara Hoffman have each made 17 saves.
Evansville (1-3-2) opened up their conference season at Missouri State on September 18 where the Purple Aces fell 1-0 on a late second half goal.
The Purple Aces are led by Emily Ormson who has two goals to go along with nine shots on goal. Two goalkeepers have spilt time in the net as Myla Danek has made four stars, collecting 15 saves while Sophie Lindner has 12 saves in three starts.
Thursday's match will be the 27th all-time meeting between Indiana State and Evansville with the Aces holding a 15-9-2 advantage in the series. The most recent matchup came in the 2021 MVC Tournament where Evansville defeated ISU in penalty kicks to advance to the semifinal match.
