LOUISVILLE, Ky. – Indiana State women's soccer wrapped up their exhibition slate on Thursday night, playing Bellarmine to a 1-1 draw at Owsley B. Frazier Stadium.
The Knights jumped out to a 1-0 lead, scoring in the 12th minute to give Bellarmine the early advantage.
Mackenzie Kent gave the Sycamores a quick response as she got behind the defense and beat the Bellarmine keeper for a goal in the 20th minute to tie the match at one.
Both teams traded shots on goal throughout the remainder of the match but were kept off the scoreboard as the night ended in a tie.
Indiana State now turns their focus to the regular season as the Sycamores will open up on the road against SIUE on August 18. The match is set to kickoff at 8 p.m. ET.
The Sycamores and the Cougars all-time series is tied 4-4 with the last matchup coming in 2019.
