GREENSBORO, N.C. – Madie Rutan closed out the 2022 Toyota U.S. Open Championships on Friday afternoon as the junior took on the field in the 100-meter Backstroke event.
The Roseville, Calif. native finished 30th overall in the preliminary field after touching the wall in 1:03.91. Swimming in the fourth heat, Rutan posted a 31.69 split at the 50-meter mark and closed out in 32.22 to highlight her time at the Open Championships.
Rutan and Farro (50 Freestyle) both competed for the Sycamores in Greensboro this weekend with both athletes qualifying for their respective events.
