TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's soccer returns to the pitch on Thursday as they will travel to Springfield for a matchup with Valley leader Missouri State at Allison South Stadium. Kickoff is set for 8 p.m. ET and the match will have live stats available while being broadcast on ESPN+.
 
The Sycamores enter Thursday's tilt with the Bears at 2-2-2 during conference play, sitting at seventh in the league standings.
 
Ella Gorrie leads ISU with six points on the season, dishing out two assists and scoring twice including a game-winning goal against Evansville on September 22.
 
CeCe Wahlberg leads the team with 23 shot attempts, putting 13 of them on goal. Wahlberg is three shots on goal away from becoming ISU's all-time leader after she put five shots on goal against Northern Iowa to give her 87 for her career. Lauren Podolski is the current leader with 89 for her career.
 
Adelaide Wolfe has logged the most minutes out of any Sycamore, playing in 1,021 minutes of action with Alexa Mackey and Josie Bakaitis behind her with 971 and 954 minutes, respectively.
 
In the net for ISU, Maddie Alexander and Tara Hoffman have each made 34 saves this season. Hoffman recorded a career-high nine saves on October 2 against UNI.
 
The Matchup
Missouri State leads the Missouri Valley with a 5-1-1 record in MVC play while sitting at 8-5-2 overall. First-year head coach Kirk Nelson's squad is led by Grace O'Keefe who has recorded four goals and three assists this season.
 
Goalkeeper Camielle Day has made 43 saves in 13 starts while recording six shutouts. The Bears have eight shutouts overall in 2022 which ranks 41st in the nation.
 
The all-time series between Indiana State and Missouri State is led by MSU with a record of 13-7-2. The Bears hold a 5-4-1 record against the Sycamores in Springfield, with an 8-3-1 advantage in Terre Haute. ISU defeated the Bears 3-1 last fall at Memorial Stadium.
