JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Freshman
Ryann Porter had a career day to qualify for the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in the triple jump on Saturday at the East Preliminary round.

Porter opened the triple jump with a personal-best leap of 13.05m (42-09.75), but used her final jump of the contest to claim the last qualifier spot with another career-best of 13.12m (43-00.50), improving her second-best mark in Indiana State history. On the day, she finished 12th overall to claim her spot in Eugene, Ore. Porter will compete at the NCAA Championships on Saturday, June 12 at 6:20 p.m. ET.

Also competing for the ISU women on Saturday was
Jocelyn Quiles. Competing in heat three of the 3000-meter steeplechase, Quiles placed 11th in the heat with a time of 10:29.30, good for 28th overall in the region. Quiles ends her season after During running the second-best time in school history of 10:20.10 at the Missouri Valley Conference Championships for All-MVC honors and a third-place finish.

All nine Sycamores who qualified for the NCAA East Preliminary meet will be returning for the Blue & White next season.
