EVANSVILLE, Ind. – Indiana State softball is set to hit the road to Evansville, Ind., for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament at Cooper Stadium.
The #7 seeded Sycamores will face off against #10 seeded Valparaiso on Wednesday, May 12 at 3 p.m. ET. Indiana State swept Valparaiso in the regular season, by scores of 13-3, 10-0 and 8-2.
Cooper Stadium will be closed to the public and only fans on student-athletes pass list will be admitted into the complex.

Tournament History
Indiana State's last Conference Championship came in 2015. The Sycamores were the #8 seed and won four games to secure the championship. The last MVC tournament was played in 2019 and the Sycamores were seeded ninth and won two games before losing to #4 Bradley.

Last Time Out
The Sycamores traveled to Chicago and faced Loyola to close out the regular season. ISU earned their first win in the windy city since 2015.
Lexie Siwek and
Bella Peterson both hit .500 on the weekend combining for nine hits, with four of them being extra bases.

Valparaiso History
This will be the 17th meeting between the Sycamores and the Brown and Gold in ISU history with Indiana State leading the all-time series, 14-3.

Peterson Has Career Year
Bella Peterson broke the career doubles record with 53 this year, breaking the previous record from 2015 MVC Player of the year, Megan Stone. Peterson holds the top spot in the Valley with 19 doubles this season and she is also ranked second nationally in the category.
