TERRE HAUTE, Ind. --Â Indiana State women's soccer will host their first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament match since 2016 on Wednesday evening when they welcome #3 seed Valparaiso to Memorial Stadium.
OPENING WHISTLE
- Indiana State hosts its first Missouri Valley Conference Tournament match since the 2016 season when they defeated Drake in PK's (3-2).
- This season, ISU broke the program record for most victories in the MVC, finishing with six Valley wins after defeating Evansville last Wednesday.
- Junior
Sidney Ewing scored her first goal of the season in the third minute of the match against Evansville to help Indiana State lock-in for a 1-0 victory. It was her third-straight match with a point.Â

Maddie Alexander recorded seven saves in the match against Evansville, her fifth match with at least six saves.
- For the first time in program history, all of Indiana State's victories during the season have come in the form of shutouts. The six shutouts are the tied for the third-most in ISU history with the 2013 team.
- All six of the Sycamores' shutouts came courtesy of
Maddie Alexander. The freshman's effort is the second-best in program history, trailing only Erin Mitchell who recorded seven in 2012. Her Goals Against Average of 1.10 is third in Sycamore history.
- Indiana State's current three-game winning streak is tied for the fourth-longest in school history and their three road wins during the shortened season are tied for the third most in ISU history.

- With Ewing joining the scoring column, six Sycamores have now notched goals this season, led by
CeCe Wahlberg,
Audrey Stephens, and
Katie Yankey with two each.

- Ewing and Stephens currently lead the Trees in the passing game with two assists each.
-Â Kloe Pettigrew earned Freshman of the Week honors from the Valley after playing all 90 minutes and helping limit Evansville to just three shots in the second half on April 7. It marked the fifth weekly award winner for the Sycamores this season. Pettigrew joined

MATCH PREVIEW
- Indiana State will look for revenge on Wednesday evening after falling to Valparaiso, 2-0, on Mar. 9.
- ISU and Valpo have played one another 15 times in program history, with Valparaiso leading the all-time series, 10-3-2.
- Wednesday marks the first meeting between the two squads in the MVC Tournament.
-Â Indiana State will be looking to advance to the MVC Tournament finale for the first time since 2013 on Wednesday. This season, the Blue & White beat UNI for the first time since 2014, defeated Missouri State in Springfield for the first time since 2013, took down Illinois State in Normal for the first time in program history and defeated Evansville for the first time since 2013.
