TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State Swimming and Diving program is set to host Ball State and Southern Illinois in a double-dual meet on Friday, Mar. 26 with events slated to begin at 1 p.m. ET.
Series History
Indiana State is no stranger to Southern Illinois and Ball State. The Salukis hold a 3-1 series lead over the Sycamores, with the last meeting being resulting in a Southern Illinois 165-135 win in 2019-20. The all-time series with the Sycamores and the Cardinals is tied 2-2. Their last meeting was in 2019-20 resulting in an ISU 146-144 win.
Sycamore Standouts
- Indiana State dropped their first two meets of the year last weekend to Missouri State, while earning two wins over Xavier.
- Kaimi Matsumoto continued to dominate the pool for ISU. Matsumoto took first place in the 200 individual medley swimming the third-fastest time in school history clocking a time of 2:07.55. Matsumoto took second in the 100 freestyle with a time of 52.50 on Sunday March 21.
- On Saturday March 20, in the 200 freestyle, the Sycamores clocked three season-best times. Emily Webb taking second with a time of 1:51.73, Rhiannon Wozny in third with a time of 1:52.00 and Andrea Putrimas taking fourth with a time of 1:53.89.
