NORMAL, Ill – Indiana State women's soccer continues its Missouri Valley Conference road swing with a trip to Normal, Ill. to take on Illinois State at Adelaide Street Field Saturday, March 13 at 2 p.m. ET.

- Indiana State's 2-1 start to Valley play is its best start to conference action since the 2006 season when it also started 2-1.

- ISU is coming off a 2-0 road defeat at Valparaiso Tuesday, evening its overall record to 2-2 and moving its MVC mark to 2-1.

- The Sycamores registered more shots (11), and more corners (7) than Valpo in the match, but the two were even in shots on goal (4).

- Freshman keeper Maddie Alexander continued her stellar rookie campaign this week, being named the Missouri Valley Conference's Freshman of the Week March 9. The Battle Creek, Mich. native registered her second straight clean sheet in Valley play, making six saves against the Southern Illinois. It was the third straight match of six saves for Alexander.

MATCH PREVIEW

- Indiana State and Illinois State face off for the 27th time in program history Saturday.

- The Sycamores and Redbirds began their series in the first season of Sycamore soccer in 2000 and have played every season since.

-The last match in Normal saw the Redbirds come away with a 3-1 victory, but it was a memorable night for the Sycamores anyway. Then-senior Katie Wells scored Indiana State's lone goal, tying the program record for goals in a season and setting the ISU record for points in a season.
