TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Wednesday mark the final home game of the season for Indiana State women's basketball as the Sycamores welcome Evansville to the Hulman Center for senior night.
Â
Tip-off is set for 6 p.m. ET and the game will be streamed live on ESPN3. In addition to being the home finale, three seniors (
CeCe Mayo,
Marie Hunter and
Jamyra McChristine) will also be honored throughout the evening as well.
Â
LAST TIME OUT
Sycamore women's basketball was swept at home by Southern Illinois in a pair of weekend games.
Caitlin Anderson led the way with 22 points and five assists in a 84-69 defeat while
Jamyra McChristine recorded a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds in a 76-52 Saturday loss.
Â
A WIN WOULD…
A win would help Indiana State earn a season-split with Evansville and avoid being swept by the Aces for the first time since the 2016-17 campaign. It would also put an end to a 10-game losing skid on the season and pull the Trees back into a tie for ninth in the Missouri Valley Conference.
Â
TAKING CARE OF THE GLASS
The Sycamores find themselves at second in the conference in offensive rebounds per game, pulling down 13.0, partially thanks to
Jamyra McChristine's Valley-leading 3.6 offensive boards per game which is also 31st in the nation. McChristine is third in the Valley in total rebounds per game at 7.1.
Â
BACK IN ACTION
Sycamore women's basketball returned to action last weekend against Southern Illinois after missing three weeks due to positive COVID-19 cases within their own and other programs. Prior to that series, Indiana State last played on Wednesday, Jan. 27 at Evansville, making their first contest with the Salukis exactly 23 days since their last Valley competition and 27 days since their last home game.
