TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Jensen Margheim was named to the 2021 Academic All-District® Women's Soccer Team, selected by CoSIDA.

The Academic All-District® Teams recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® program separately recognizes soccer honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.

Margheim, a native of Fredericksburg, VA., is the first Sycamore player to receive first-team CoSIDA Academic All-District® honors in program history. She is the third Indiana State player to receive All-District honors and first since Alison Gasparovich, who was named to the second-team in 2010.

Margheim made 22 starts across 53 appearances during her Sycamore career. She recorded three goals and two assists while being a year-year captain for Indiana State.

In the classroom, Margheim is an applied medicine major with a perfect 4.00 cumulative grade-point average. She received the MVC President's Council Academic Excellence award in the spring.  

First-team Academic All-District® honorees advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America® honorees will be announced in early December.
