TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State women's soccer will host No. 6 seed Evansville in an MVC Quarterfinal match on Sunday, October 31 at Memorial Stadium. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. ET.
Regular Season in the Rear-View
-Indiana State will be making its 12
th overall appearance in the MVC Tournament in program history.
-This will be the second straight season that the Sycamores have hosted an MVC match. Indiana State is searching for their first conference tournament win since 2013 where the Trees advanced to the MVC Tournament Final against Illinois State.
-The Sycamores clinched the No. 3 seed in the tournament with a 3-1 win over SIU on Thursday to end the regular season.

CeCe Wahlberg has climbed her way into the Sycamore record book in multiple categories. She now ranks second all-time in shots on goal with 70, third all-time in total shots with 133, and tied for ninth with 12 career goals.
-Wahlberg currently leads the Sycamores with 15 points on the season (six goals, three assists).
-During conference play, Wahlberg led the MVC with 13 points (five goals, three assists) as well as finishing second in shots on goal with 17.

Katie Yankey,
Sasha Thompson and Wahlberg are tied for the team lead with three assists each.

Maddie Alexander has 76 saves on the season, making at least six in seven different matches.
-Indiana State's four MVC wins and four road wins this season are both tied for second-most in program history.
-A Sycamore brought home MVC weekly award honors five times during the regular season.
Mackenzie Kent won Freshman of the Week twice,
CeCe Wahlberg and
Sasha Thompson both won an Offensive Player of the Week and
Maddie Alexander earned a Defensive Player of the Week honor.
Match Preview
The Evansville Purple Aces will come to Terre Haute for the second time this season with the Trees winning 4-1 on October 3 at Memorial Stadium.
Evansville earned the No. 6 seed after finishing the regular season with a 6-4-6 (2-3-3) record. They played Missouri State to a 0-0 tie on Thursday to earn a result and a trip to the postseason.
This will be the 26
th all-time meeting between the two programs with Evansville leading the series 9-14-2. Â Sunday will be the fifth matchup in the MVC Tournament. Most recently, Indiana State defeated Evansville 2-1 in the MVC Quarterfinal on November 2, 2012.
The Sycamores hold a 7-3-2 advantage in games played at Memorial Stadium.
The Purple Aces are led by Emily Ormson who finished the regular season with 13 points (six goals, one assist) and Alex Eyler who dished out six assists which is tied for second-most among MVC players.
Evansville is searching for their first MVC Tournament win since 2018 when they defeated UNI on PK's to advance to the semifinals.
