KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C.  – Indiana State improved their team score by 11 shots from Round 1 to Round 2 as play continued at the Kiawah Island Classic in coastal South Carolina.

The Sycamores fired a round of 319 on Sunday, but improved that score to 308 during Monday's second round. Their two-round total of 627 is tied for 38
th place. The tournament is led by Boston University with a score of 575.

Indiana State is paced by senior
Sierra Hargens who fired a three-over-par round of 75 which puts her at 153 for the tournament and is tied for 96th place.
Lauren Green shaved eight shots off her Sunday score with a round of 77. Her total of 157 is tied for 142nd place.
Kayla Ryan posted a round of 77 on Monday which gives her a total of 159 and is tied for 159
th place.

"We played better today," head coach
Greg Towne said. "We still left a lot of shots out on the course. We were poised but can play more courageously."

Freshman
Kristen Hobbs carded a round of 77 which gives her a two-day round of 158 which is tied for 151st place. Senior
Alex Jennings fired a round of 83 which gives her a total of 164 for the tournament which is tied for 210th place.

Missouri State is the only other league team in the tournament and they have carded rounds of 311 and 321 which gives them a total of 632 and a spot in 42nd place.
