TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – Indiana State will hit the road to Chattanooga, Tennessee for the Chattanooga challenge.
First pitch of the tournament for the Sycamore is slated for 11 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 14. The blue and white will also face off against Bowling Green later that afternoon at 4 p.m.
On Saturday, Feb. 15, the Sycamores will play Ohio at 11 a.m. and Chattanooga at 4 p.m.
Finally, the tournament will wrap up on Sunday, Feb. 16, and the trees will play Marshall at 10 a.m.
Live stats will be available for each game. The contest against Chattanooga will be streamed on ESPN3 or ESPN+.

This will be the sixth meeting in school history against Chattanooga, the Mocs hold a 4-1 deficit. Last meet was in 2019.

Bowling Green and Indiana State are tied 4-4 overall. The last meeting was in 2018, the Trees won, 7-6.

Marshall holds the deficit over the Sycamores 3-2. Last meeting was in 2006.

Down Goes #25, Wisconsin
The Sycamores started off their season with #25 ranked Wisconsin and came out on top in Florida with a 2-1 victory. Senior Gabbi Schnaiter threw the complete game getting the win with nine strikeouts, the most she has had in a Sycamore uniform.

Key Freshmen
Freshmen, Lexi Benko and Cassie Thomerson were two major keys in the Sycamores 4-1 victory over Northern Illinois. Benko got her first career start and her first career win over the Huskies. Thomerson also got her first career start for the Sycamores recording her first career hit and homerun all in one at bat.

Sims Speed
Leslie Sims enters her last season looking to improve on her solid junior campaign. In 2019 she was second in The Valley in stolen bases with 34, Sims was also second overall in hits with 72. She was honored with first-team All-MVC and Second-Team All-Region honors. She also set the career stolen bases record in 2019 with 80.
