Sycamore fans are also encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped gift for one of the 300 local out-of-home foster children in the Wabash Valley, as ISU and MIX FM are partnering for the 300 Holiday Wishes campaign. Those who bring gifts will receive a free pass for any game in January.

- The Series: Indiana State and Marshall meet for the sixth time in program history on Tuesday the Sycamores hold a 4-1 advantage in the series. Last season, ISU defeated the Thunder Herd in head coach Vicki Hall's first game at Indiana State, 62-53.
- Home, Sweet Home: Tuesday marks the first home contest of the 2019 season for Sycamore women's basketball, as the Hulman Center has been unavailable up to this point due to continuing renovations. Starting on Tuesday, Indiana State will old four of its next five games at home heading into Missouri Valley Conference play.
- Doubling Up: Juniors LeAndra Echi and Jamyra McChristine are coming off of a big game at the Tiger Turkey Tipoff. In a 67-59 defeat to CSUN, both Echi and McChristine posted double-doubles to lead the blue and white. McChristine was the leading scorer for the Trees, recording 18 points to go along with 10 boards, while Echi recorded her third double-double of the year with 11 points and 10 rebounds.
- Defending the Triple: Indiana State has faced no shortage of strong three-point shooting teams in their first seven games of the season, but has excelled in shutting down the three-point arc. ISU has held opponents to 34/128 from behind the line, just an average of 26.6% per-game which is second in the Valley and 66th nationally. Marshall brings a decent challenge on Tuesday, entering the contest shooting 34.3% from three-point range.
- It Starts with Defense: The Sycamores have established themselves as one of the better defensive teams in the Valley early in the season, recording 65 steals through seven games for an average of 9.29 steals-per-game, second-best in the MVC. Freshmen Del'Janae Williams and Sommer Pitzer own the second and third most steals-per-game in the league with averages of 2.3 and 2.2, respectively.
- Hitting the Boards: Through their first seven games, ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 94 offensive boards in seven games, giving them an average of 13.4 per-game. LeAndra Echi is currently fourth in the Valley in rebounds-per-game, pulling down an average of nine.
