INDIANA STATE NOTES
Â
NOTES
- The Series: Indiana State and Southeast Missouri meet for the seventh time on Saturday, with ISU holding a 6-0 advantage in the series. The Sycamores won the matchup last year at SEMO in 2018, 62-51.    Â
- Block Party: The Sycamores were all over the Northern Kentucky shooters on Monday night, rejecting 10 shots in total, the first time ISU recorded at least 10 blocks since Nov. 30, 2011 against UT Martin. Freshman Del'Janae Williams led the way for the Trees with three while CeCe Mayo, Jamyra McChristine and Hattie Westerfeld all earned two.
- A Balanced Attack: Indiana State continues to bring a balanced offensive attack to the table, with the most recent effort coming against Murray State. Three Trees recorded more than 14 points against the Racers, led by Jamyra McChristine with 15. LeAndra Echi (14) and Sommer Pitzer (14) also helped the Sycamore scoring effort. Six of ISU's nine games have seen at least three athletes score 10 points.
- A Win Would: A win on Saturday afternoon would end Indiana State's six game losing streak, as well as give the Sycamores their seventh consecutive win in the all-time series against SEMO. The Sycamores won the last matchup in 2018, 62-51.
- Hitting the Boards: Through the nonconference, ISU can boast themselves as one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the Missouri Valley Conference. The Trees have pulled down 139 offensive boards in 10 games, giving them an average of 13.9 per-game. LeAndra Echi is currently fifth in the Valley in rebounds-per-game, pulling down an average of 7.6.
