The Sycamores came out ready to battle in the second half, but so did the Ramblers. Loyola scores two quick goals to start the second half making the score 3-0.
Indiana State continued to try and close the gap and in the 69
th minute of play Wells put Indiana State on the board after picking off a Loyola pass inside the 18 yard box. After this the Sycamores found their offensive momentum firing multiple other chances at the Loyola net.
In the 81
st minute
Sydney Hamker gave ISU their second goal heading a
Katie Sullivan free kick into the net. The kick closed the gap to 3-2, but unfortunately Indiana State could not find the tying goal.
The Sycamores now return home to take on Fort Wayne. In 2016 the Sycamores defeated Fort Wayne 3-0.
