INDIANAPOLIS – Indiana State hit the cover off the ball, but no stats will count as today's game at Butler was called in the top of the fifth inning with one out. Butler was leading 8-6 at the time the game was called due to repeated lightning strikes.
The Sycamores were having a great day at the plate, with multiple hit games from
Rylee Holland (3-3),
Erika Crissman (2-3, 3B, RBI), and other hits from
Leslie Sims (1-3),
Brooke Mann (1-2, 2B, RBI),
Mary Turitto (1-2, 2B, SF, 2 RBI) and
Becky Malchow (1-3).
Indiana State returns home this weekend to host Missouri State on Saturday and Sunday.
