Top Notch Schedule
Indiana State's 2016 schedule has four teams that the Sycamores have never played in program history. Louisville, Akron, Kent State, and Tennessee are all new additions and first time opponents for Indiana State.
Standout Stars
Brittany San Roman, Katie Sullivan and Kasey Wallace have continually been the leaders of the Sycamore defense. Indiana State has earned five shutouts and these three have been the leaders in all of those occurrences. San Roman has 63 saves thus far and Sullivan has prevented many more shots from happening while Wallace continues to be the powerhouse for the Sycamore defense.
Gaelen the Great
Senior Gaelen Stejbach put on a show in Indiana State's match against Western Illinois on Aug. 19. She scored two goals in the 3 to 0 victory while sophomore Katie Wells added the third. In the first half senior Maddie Schaak took the ball downline and crossed it to Wells who headed it into the back of the net. Later that half senior Maddie Orf beat a WIU defender and passed it to Stejbach who shot and scored from 30 yards out. Late into the second half freshman Caitlin Glascott sent a long cross into the box where Stejbach recieved it and passed it into the net with ease from 15 yards out. Stejbach recently notched her third goal of 2016 when she ripped a shot from the top of the 18 to put Indiana State up 2-0 against Fort Wayne on Sept. 25.
