TERRE HAUTE, Ind. – The Indiana State women's soccer team announced its 2016 regular season schedule today. This season has 18 matches set, with seven of them taking place at home.
The Sycamores open 2016 with a home match against Western Illinois on Aug. 19th, at 7:00 p.m. This game will raise donations for the Terre Haute Catholic Charities Food Bank.
Indiana State then heads to Louisville, Ky, to take on the Cardinals on Aug. 21st at 1:00 p.m. The Louisville Cardinals were 8-8-2 overall in 2015.
ISU then returns home for the annual Parents and Alumni weekend on Aug. 26-28. The Sycamores first welcome Akron on Aug. 26th at 7:00 p.m. and then IUPUI on Aug. 28th at 1:00 p.m.
Indiana State takes off on the road for the next three matches. The Sycamores will first face off with the Northwestern Wildcats on Sept. 1st at 8:00 p.m. in Chicago, Ill. ISU then heads to Charleston Ill., to take on Eastern Illinois, on Sept. 4th at 1:00 p.m. The following week the Sycamores travel to Indianapolis for a match against the Butler Bulldogs on Sept. 8th at 7:00 p.m.
The Sycamores return to Memorial Stadium on Sept. 11th to face off with Chicago State at 2:00 p.m. for Bark in the Park day.
The following weekend ISU loads the bus for Ohio, first taking on Kent State on Sept. 16th at 7:00 p.m. followed by Toledo on Sept. 18th at 1:00 p.m.
Sept. 23rd marks the opening of Missouri Valley play for the Sycamores as they travel to Normal Ill., to take on the Illinois State Redbirds at 8:00 p.m. ISU will finish out this weekend with a non-conference match against IPFW on Sept. 25th at 1:00 p.m. in Ft. Wayne, Ind.
Indiana State returns home for a conference face off with the defending Missouri Valley Conference champions, the Drake Bulldogs, on Sept. 30th at 7:00 p.m. This game also serves as the Domestic Violence Awareness game with donations going to CODA.
The Sycamores then depart on their final regular season trip. Indiana State plays Tennessee on Oct. 2nd at 1:00 p.m. in Knoxville, Tenn.
Indiana State then faces off with Northern Iowa at Memorial Stadium for Senior Day at 1:00 p.m. The following weekend ISU travels to Springfield, Mo., facing off with Missouri State on Oct. 15th at 12:30 p.m.
ISU remains on the road for their following match against the Evansville Aces, 2015 Missouri Valley Conference tournament champions, on Oct. 19th at 7:00 p.m. Indiana State then closes out conference play at home against Loyola on Oct. 23rd at 1:00 p.m.
Oct. 30th marks the opening round of the Missouri Valley Conference tournament, with the semifinals and finals to be played on Nov. 4th and Nov. 6th location TBD.
