CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. –Indiana State senior Christopher McCall, junior Amanda Smith, and freshman Megan Berube were named All-American Scholars by the Women's Golf Coaches Association for the 2013-2014 season.

Christopher is the third member of the Sycamore women's golf team to earn the prestigious award all four years at Indiana State, joining Emily Dixon and Mackenzie Mack. This is Smith's second honor from the WGCA while Berube is now the fourth Sycamore to be honored as a freshman.

Christopher majored in Athletic Training at Indiana State with a 3.70 cumulative grade point average (GPA) while Smith is majoring in Recreation and Sport Management with a 3.58 cumulative GPA. Berube, one of two freshmen on the Sycamores this past season, is majoring in Music Education and has a 3.74 cumulative GPA.

This is the eighth straight season that the Sycamores have had at least two members named All-American Scholars by the WGCA.

Christopher and Smith were named to the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Scholar-Athlete First Team. It was the second selection to the MVC team for both athletes as Christopher was an Honorable Mention selection in 2012 with Smith an Honorable Mention selection in 2013.

Christopher was also named the spring recipient of the Missouri Valley Conference Leadership and Service Award.

Both players received All-Conference recognition for their performance at the 2014 Missouri Valley Conference Women's Golf Championship. Smith fought her way to a tie for second and Christopher, who was at or near the top of the leaderboard all three days, finished tied for fourth.

The criteria for selection to the WGCA All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics. The minimum cumulative GPA is 3.50.
