TERRE HAUTE, IND. – The Indiana State volleyball recruiting class of 2014 has been recognized with High Honorable Mention honors by PrepVolleyball.com. The publication annually ranks the recruiting classes across the nation with the help of 120 college coaches based on the cumulative impact each class could make during its time at their respective school.
Five players representing Indiana, Michigan, Missouri, and Ohio comprise Indiana State's incoming class. They include Danielle Waedekin (5-10, DS, St. Louis, Mo., Parkway North High), Stephanie Bindernagel (5-7, DS, Chagrin Falls, Ohio, Kenston High), Sarah Peterson (6-0, OH, Seven Hills, Ohio, Padua Franciscan High), Rachel Griffin (5-10, S, Avon, Ind., Avon High), and Danielle McCormick (6-2, OH, Pontiac, Mich., Notre Dame Prep).
Traci Dahl begins her seventh season as the Sycamore head coach when Indiana State hosts a season opening tournament August 29 and 30. Akron, Chicago State, North Carolina A&T, and Wright State will also be competing.
